Few plays are as gorgeously written -- or as heartwrenching -- as Shakespeare's tale of star-crossed lovers, Romeo & Juliet. More than four centuries after its first staging, few works in any medium match the intensity and beauty of this timeless tragedy. Two families, the Montagues and the Capulets, have been feuding for years. But when young Romeo Montague goes out with his friends to make trouble at a Capulet party, he spies Juliet, the Capulets' daughter, and falls hopelessly in love with her. This production at the Torrance Cultural Arts Center's James Armstrong Theater features a talented cast of both youth actors and adults who breathe fresh life into this immortal tale.
