The Ultimate Doo-Wop Show returns to New York's Beacon Theatre for its ninth year of '50s and '60s R&B revelry. This year's lineup includes Sonny Turner of The Platters fame, Frankie Lymon's Teenagers ("Why Do Fools Fall in Love," "Goody Goody") and Maurice Williams & The Zodiacs ("Stay"). The revue also includes "Then He Kissed Me" songbird LaLa Brooks, The Marcels featuring "Mr. Bass Man" Fred Johnson ("Blue Moon") and The Chantels ("Maybe"). How many more soulful harmonizers and classic crooners can this chockfull bill hold, you ask? You'll also get an earful from Kid Kyle, John Kuse & The Excellents, Barbara Lynn, the Sweethearts and Blue Suede Orchestra featuring Peter Mastropaolo & The Coda Band.
