Two of heavy metal's most subversive acts are combining forces for a summer tour that's anything but bright and sunny. Famed for all-hell-is-seemingly-breaking-loose live concerts, the mask-wearing band Slipknot released their most recent album, .5: The Gray Chapter, in 2014, continuing their run of gold and platinum-selling discs, which began with their self-titled album in 1999. They're joined by Marilyn Manson, who exploded onto the scene in 1994 with Portrait of an American Family and made news with his hit singles and controversial statements. Since then he's recorded eight more studio albums, including last year's The Pale Emperor, and remained a dominant force in heavy metal. Of Mice & Men open the show at the Forum in Inglewood.
