An ambitious franchise that’s owned by New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, the Revolution have reached the MLS Cup four times (2002, 2005, 2006, and 2007) but are still in pursuit of their championship. Trophies have been elusive, but the Revolution did taste glory with the US Open Cup in 2007.
The Revolution play their games at Gillette Stadium (also home to the three-time Super Bowl champion New England Patriots), an exceptionally family-friendly environment with clean sight lines and attractions for all ages.
Boasting a seriously impressive list of current and former players, the New England Revolution always put stars on the field. The team has suited such great players as Taylor Twellman, Joe-Max Moore, Clint Dempsey, John Harkes, Alexi Lalas, and Eric Wynalda.
After missing the playoffs last season, the Revolution boldly traded for the rights to the first pick in the MLS SuperDraft. With that first overall pick, the Revs selected 20-year-old defender Andrew Farrell from Louisville, a prospect they hoped would immediately anchor their defense and get them back to the playoffs for the first time since 2009. Farrell has been nothing short of spectacular in his debut season.
