Born and raised in Macon, Georgia, birthplace of the Allman Brothers Band, it’s no wonder Jason Aldean was invited to perform alongside the legendary Gregg Allman at the Country Music Hall of Fame Benefit in New York last February. Sharing a stage with Allman, Warren Haynes, Vince Gill and others, Aldean performed two of his more well-known hits, “Big Green Tractor” and “My Kinda Party.” He followed Gregg and Warren’s impressive slide guitar performances saying, “I get to follow that? Awesome.”
But his performances never do disappoint. He’s filled with energy in his blue jeans, a tee-shirt and cowboy hat with songs to make you dance and songs to make you cry (“Why” and “The Truth”). His triple-platinum album, My Kinda Party, was released in 2010 and received phenomenal reviews. Its two most popular hits were actually written by fellow country crooner and friend Brantley Gilbert, whose combined rap and country creation “Dirt Road Anthem” gave Aldean the momentum he needed to produce his most recent album, Night Train. Three Grammy nominations and several successful tours later with artists like Rascal Flatts, Dierks Bentley, Brooks and Dunn and Luke Bryan, he’s guaranteed to entertain a crowd. Aldean is accompanied by Florida Georgia Line on his 2014 Burn It Down tour, another super successful group with a ton of catchy songs like “Round Here,” “Get Your Shine On” and “Cruise.”
