While contemporaries like Joni Mitchell and James Taylor were widely influential, no one tapped into the spirit of 1970s California like Jackson Browne did. Songs like "Somebody's Baby," "Doctor My Eyes" and "Running on Empty" were the anthem of young adults coming of age in a time of change. Browne's intelligent lyrics and mellow sound pretty much set the template for the next decade of California music. But Browne has never stopped making music and performing, and now he's going back on the road with a full band and making a stop at LA's fabulous Greek Theatre.
