Back to Results
The world first met George Takei in 1965, when he was cast as Lieutenant Sulu on Gene Roddenberry's groundbreaking science fiction series Star Trek. Over the next 50 years, Takei would go on to become a sci-fi icon, starring in six Star Trek movies while dabbling in politics and becoming an outspoken advocate for LGBTQ equality. In this talk at the Boch Center's Wang Theatre, Takei takes to the stage to share fascinating and hilarious behind-the-scenes stories from his time at the helm of the USS Enterprise. The evening also includes a screening of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, followed by an audience-led Q&A.
