Erasure, which is comprised of singer Andy Bell and multi-instrumentalist Vince Clarke, has been performing together for nearly three decades, but when you catch the band live, they make hits like “A Little Respect,” “Chains Of Love” and “Always” sound just as fresh as the day they were initially released. For Clarke, Erasure is actually the third successful act on his musical resume. (He was a founding member of Depeche Mode and even wrote one of the band’s biggest hits, “Just Can’t Get Enough.” He then left to form Yaz, where he wrote hits like “Only You,” which moviegoers might remember playing at the final train station scene between Ethan Embry and Jennifer Love Hewitt in Can’t Hardly Wait.) For Bell, on the other hand, Erasure was his entry into the British music scene. In the years since, he’s achieved a successful solo career and, due to his openness about his homosexuality, he’s become an icon in the worldwide LGBT community.
With both members in their 50s, Erasure might not bop around onstage like they did in their early days—Bell has undergone two hip replacement surgeries and, thus, avoids pogo-ing as much as he used to—but that doesn’t stop the band from bringing the audience to their feet, preferably to participate in a giant dance party, night after night. ScoreBig get you to the party. With ScoreBig, you save on every Erasure ticket, every day.
