Summer nights in L.A. are as nice as the days, and everyone wants to spend as much time as possible outside. The whole family will leap at the chance to go to the zoo after hours for an evening party that really kicks the normal zoo fun up a notch. The L.A. Zoo's Family Jam features live music, kids' karaoke, dancing and food trucks, along with up-close animal encounters, zookeeper talks and a whole lot more. Pete's Dragon will be roaming for photo ops and you'll have after-hours access to the dinosaur exhibit. Kids and adults alike can even create critter-inspired canvases at the Animal Artistry Paint Party to take home as souvenirs (while supplies last).
