Back to Results
From the streets of New York City to silver-screen stardom, James Cagney was a bona fide legend. Actor, singer and dancer Robert Creighton plays the archetype tough guy in the energetic tap-dancing musical Cagney at the Westside Theatre. Mixing original new music with George M. Cohan tunes including "Give My Regards to Broadway," "Grand Old Flag" and "Yankee Doodle Dandy," the show follows Cagney's rise from the vaudeville stage to Hollywood's original gangster. Creighton earned an Astaire Award, and is racking up nominations from Drama Desk, the Outer Critics Circle and the Off-Broadway Alliance for his role, and the music and lyrics he wrote for the musical.
