Aussie-born quintet The Janoskians might look like One Direction, but they’d rather pull pranks than sing while busting a movie. “We've been friends our whole lives. It's been so long, we're like brothers now,” James Yammouni said in an interview with Dolly, an Aussie fashion magazine, in 2012. “We all liked pranking and making videos so one day we decided to do it together and post it on YouTube—it kicked off so quickly!”
The group—which is an acronym for Just Another Name Of Silly Kids In Another Nation—have been uploading skits to the video platform for the past three years and have amassed a huge follow of people who love to watch the boys bother strangers, fall down in public, and film 1D fanboy mockumentaries. In fact, over 1.5 million people subscribe to their channel, and their individual videos attract upwards of 3 to 6 million views.
In May 2014, the group announced they signed with Republic Records and released the song “Real Girls Eat Cake,” which coincided with The Janoskians’ second world tour, appropriately called the “Got Cake Tour.” The pranksters have also teamed up with Lionsgate, the movie studio responsible for franchises like Twilight and The Hunger Games, to make a feature film based on their lives. With all this newfound success, it looks like The Janoskians can have their cake and eat it, too. And so can you….ScoreBig lets you save on every ticket for The Janoskians, every day.
