Luke Bryan’s stock in the world of country music has been rising since day one. His career began in earnest in 2007 when he signed with Capitol Records Nashville and released the album I’ll Stay Me later that same year. Bryan was instantly a hit, with the album including such memorable chart-topping songs as “We Rode in Trucks,” “Country Man,” and “All My Friends Say.”
Bryan Gets Better and Better
The 11-track album was a surprising success on the charts, climbing all the way to #24 on the U.S. Billboard 200 and #2 on the U.S. Billboard Top Country Albums chart.
And Bryan’s next album, Doin’ My Thing, was even more successful when it was released two years later. Featuring the hit singles “Do I,” “Rain Is a Good Thing,” and “Someone Else Calling You Baby”—which all reached at least second on the U.S. Country Singles chart—the album peaked at #2 on the U.S. Billboard Top Country Albums chart. But on the U.S. Billboard 200, it climbed all the way to #6, which is a huge achievement for any artist, but especially for a country music artist.
His next album, Tailgates & Tanlines, went Platinum. And Spring Break…Here to Party, which was released in 2013, was #1 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart, surpassing all expectations and turning Bryan into a legitimate musical star.
Adding glory to success, in 2012 Luke Bryan swept the American Country Awards, winning all nine awards that he was nominated for.
